Dr. Chang provides care during your entire pregnancy, from preconception to delivery and beyond. Regular care from an obstetrician helps ensure your pregnancy is healthy and safe. Regular care also allows us to identify any possible complications early and provide appropriate treatment when necessary.

What services does an obstetrics practice provide?
Obstetrics includes a number of services to keep you and your baby healthy, including pre-pregnancy counseling, prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postnatal care.

Prenatal care
Dr. Chang cares for you throughout the nine months of your pregnancy. This includes periodic physical exams and tests to evaluate your baby’s development.

 

Labor and delivery

You get expert care during labor and the delivery of your baby. Dr. Chang will review all the delivery options with you and help you develop a birth plan so you get the experience and support you need.

Postnatal care
After you deliver, Dr. Chang and his staff will ensure you’re healing properly. They answer any questions you have about your body, including breastfeeding. Postnatal care includes evaluation of your mood to ensure you’re doing OK emotionally in this period when some women have very real feelings of postpartum depression.
